Message From Vice Dean of Training and Internship Affairs

It is concerned with supervising the practical and clinical training of students in hospitals and health centers in their precise field of specialization, as well as coordinating the provision of supervisors from the college and training bodies, and supervising the process of evaluating students’ performance during training. It also manages and distributes students and follows them up during the internship year. This vice deanship is also responsible for communicating with graduates, creating databases, conducting opinion polls, and preparing graduate support programs.

Goals

Goal 1

Organization, coordination and general supervision of student training during the academic years and the internship.

Goal 2

Inviting different training sectors to cooperate with the college to train its students.

Goal 3

Identifying potential clinical site in coordination with academic programs departments.

Goal 4

Establish channels of continuous collaboration with scientific institutions and research centers to involve them in the process of training.

Goal 5

Formulating training skills in coordination with the scientific units to be accessible for students and faculty members and trainers.

About Vice Dean of Training and Internship Affairs

Practical and clinical training unit procedures:

  • Preparing plans for training students in their field of specialization in hospitals and health centers.
  • Coordination with internal and external bodies in which students will be trained.
  • Distribution of training supervisors to student groups.
  • Preparing standards for evaluating students’ performance during their training in coordination with the academic departments.
  • Work to solve problems facing students’ training.

Internship Affairs Unit procedures:

  • Preparing training plans for college students in the internship stage in their field of specialization in hospitals and health centers.
  • Coordination with internal and external bodies in which the internship students will be trained.
  • Distribution of training supervisors to groups of internship students.
  • Preparing criteria for evaluating students’ performance during their internship training in coordination with the academic departments.
  • Working on solving the problems facing the internship training.
  • Preparing and conducting a questionnaire from the place of internship training.

It is followed by the following:

  • Practical and clinical training unit 

This unit supervises the distribution of students to practical and clinical training places in hospitals and health centers in their precise field of specialization, as well as coordinates the provision of supervisors from the college and training agencies, and supervises the process of evaluating students’ performance during training.

  • Internship Affairs Unit

This unit is responsible for managing, distributing, and following up students during the internship year.
