The institutional purpose of the Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences is to provide qualified students of diverse backgrounds with an excellent medical education within an atmosphere of academic integrity and scholarship that fosters the highest standards in professional ethics and competence. The college is dedicated to develop students with a lifelong commitment to patient care centered research, public / private health and community service.

The principal function of the College is to educate and train High School Graduates (Science Stream), in order to become qualified medical technicians and serve in the different applied medical jobs of the Medical Services Divisions, and conducting military courses for (Officers, NCOs and Civilians) in several fields.

Library

PSMCHS library was inaugurated in September 1988 under the auspices of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense and Aviation. PSMCHS library plays a main role in offering services such as books and references specialized in the medical sciences to the College students, administrative and teaching staff.

Respiratory Care

Respiratory Care is the health care discipline that specializes in the promotion of optimum cardiopulmonary function and health. Respiratory therapists apply scientific principles to prevent, identify, and treat acute or chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory care program at the College has recieved an international recognition from American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and International Council for Respiratory Care (ICRC).

Emergency Medical Technology

This program is designed to prepare qualified emergency medical workers to become Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedics). The program aims to develop student competencies in patient assessment, basic and advanced life support, and emergency vehicle operation, management of the variety of internal injuries, external injuries, obstetric emergencies, as well as neonatal and pediatric emergencies. We also  cooperate with the training department of King Fahd Military Hospital in conducting BLS and ACLS courses.

Nursing

The Nursing Diploma Program has been designed to prepare graduates to meet international nursing standards of care for individuals and the community within Saudi Arabia, and to qualify Saudi nurses to meet the demand for a steady supply of well-trained nurses in the Medical Services Division hospitals (MSD) and kingdom-wide.
