Introduction

The department is responsible for developing the college’s plans and curricula and ensuring that they are ready and meet national and international requirements in cooperation with the scientific departments and the College’s Development and Quality Agency. It also maintains communication and is informed of new changes in academic and professional accreditation requirements.

  • Coordinating with the relevant academic departments regarding designing, developing and updating curricula in accordance with the college’s vision and mission.
  • Studying the general foundations for developing and evaluating curricula and study plans in the college.
  • Coordinating with the Academic Accreditation Unit to ensure that the curricula meet the requirements of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation.
  • Coordinating with the College’s Admissions and Registration Department to ensure that approved study plans are included in the registration system.
  • Providing descriptions of programs and courses to ensure quick and easy reference to them for those who need them.
  • Provides a brief description of the courses of study according to the study plans in the academic departments.
  • Informing the College Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of any developments related to the unit’s work and developments in study plans and course descriptions.
  • Participate in conducting research and studies when planning to adopt new programs in the college.
  • Participate in quantitative and qualitative research and studies to evaluate the effectiveness of programs, teaching methods, and evaluation.
